Logistics Associate - Novi, MI

This is a hybrid role supporting the logistics team with traffic coordination and carrier updates. A background in transportation, logistics, or carrier management is preferred. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required.

Support the day-to-day transportation operations, including shipment planning, load consolidation, and the import/export process. Provide customer support for Lineage Transportation Team.

SUMMARY

Support the day-to-day transportation operations, including clerical work, order entry, planning appointments, track and trace, document scanning, and assisting Logistics Specialists in support of the overall import/export process.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support basic customer needs by answering phones, managing email volume, and becoming familiar with customer accounts

· Utilize transportation software to track and trace vessel and terminal schedules and generate reports for visibility

· Collaborate with Logistics Specialists and warehouse staff to achieve daily goals

· Support Logistics Specialists with planning appointments and coordinating orders

· Assist with billing every 1-3 days and ensure rates are accurate

· Research for both customer and driver documentation

· File and scan driver documentation

· Perform basic audits to review vendor invoices to minimize discrepancies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· No prior experience is required; previous experience in a shipping or transportation coordination environment experience or relevant certification is advantageous but not necessary

· Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
