Your role at Clorox:

The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for logistics associate position at our Atlanta-Main facility. This role involves performing daily inspections of electric-powered forklifts and using various attachments like slip-sheet units, double-forks, and clamp trucks. The job supports production by managing packaging materials and ensuring safety through reporting and correcting unsafe conditions. This role also involves planning and prioritizing work assignments, supporting changeover and startup/shutdown processes, and handling raw materials according to SDS procedures. Additionally, the job requires understanding complex loading practices, warehouse layout, and capacity constraints
Starting Hourly rate compensation: $24.63. Shift-12hr. schedule, operating in a 2-2-3, in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Offering an excellent compensation and benefits package.

In this role, you will:

  • Performs daily inspections of electric powered forklift using correct documentation, proficient with several types of forklift attachments, such as a slip-sheet unit, double-forks, and clamp truck. 

  • Support production with stage to stock and stock to stage for all packaging materials such as (caps, triggers, preforms, neck hangers, corrugation, labels & chemicals). 

  • Ensures that unsafe conditions get reported and corrected through the Hazardous Notification, BBS processes and write-up work orders for repair. 

  • Perform all necessary safety checks related to trailer loading and dock locking systems. 

  • Maintain procedural compliance of forklift security and departmental tools. 

  • Effectively plan and prioritize work assignments with minimal supervision. 

  • Properly fill-out documentation associated with unloading and loading practices within the department with minimal supervision. 

  • Supports Changeover, Startup / Shutdown Processes to standards. 

  • Understands and adheres to Regulatory compliance with OSHA & DOT standards, ensures WPO and housekeeping standards are sustained. 

  • Has knowledge of SDS’s and follows proper procedures for handling raw materials. 

  • Understand complex loading practices and maintain weight distribution for all types of carrier equipment. 

  • Understand warehouse layout and capacity constraint.

  • Preferably 1-2 years of prior experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.    

  • Able to demonstrate high level of Forklift Operator capabilities. 

  • Detail-oriented, willingness to learn, creativity, with sense of urgency. 

  • Strong commitment to plant’s non-negotiables and company’s core values. 

  • Be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Workdays and schedules may change periodically for training purposes, and according to business needs. Must be able to work off shift and weekends. 

  • Meets required Skill Certification Criteria, tracks progress against the Certification and takes ownership for training. 

  • Supports department and plants goals of MVP for maximum output.  

  • Can demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.  

  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize work area to 5S standards.  

  • Able to follow established procedures and protocols, compliance with OSHA & DOT standards.
