This is an individual contributor role reporting to Manager, Trade Compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Executes day to day operational activities associated with all modes of shipment for supplier inbound, inter-divisional manufacturing, finished goods replenishment, and warehouse outbound customer freight.
- Prepare accurate & timely inbound and outbound documentation for international air and ocean shipments to ensure the consistent movement of goods and materials throughout our network. Ensuring international shipments are compliant such as export licenses, DG declaration, shipping documents, classifications, valuation, and incoterms.
- Work closely with internal and external parties such as Panduit global warehouses, manufacturing, freight forwarders, carriers, or customs brokers to resolve freight related issues such as damages or lost freight, miss-deliveries, freight overages or shortages, late deliveries, and customs holds.
- Compile and maintain recordkeeping in accordance with local customs agency and Panduit audit requirement. Maintains databases and reports for the department.
- Verify invoices and generate internal requisition to allow for freight payment to carrier and freight forwarders.
- Identify and initiate continuous improvement opportunities and cost savings or cost avoidance for the company.
Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics, business, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of applicable experience with logistics and supply chain, trade compliance.
- Intermediate Supply Chain knowledge – Inventory, Logistics, international trade terms, customs procedure and/or Warehousing.
- Excellent analytical and project leadership skills
- Effectively prioritizes multiple demands and heavy workload.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to work through complex issues and problems.
Skills Required
