Overview:
The Logistics and Procurement Manager will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external teams on all material shipping (by air and or sea), administration and management of all purchasing activities for the OCONUS projects, and collaborate with and assist team members’ entry (Visa’s, eCC’s, flights, and lodging) for all project locations around the world.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides procurement guidance to team members for appropriate Statement of Work.
- Ensures supplier’s performance meets cost, delivery and quality objectives.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and to find solutions to particular problems and sourcing issues.
- Assists with problem resolution and provides strategic guidance to senior management as required.
- Manages and securely stores equipment and assets.
- Designs and administers an inventory control plan.
- Prepares schedules and plans for incoming and stored equipment and utilizes a records system/database to track in stock and distributed inventory.
- Coordinates with the Project Manager to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
- Communicates country entry requirements to Project Managers and project team members while executing all tasks associated with gaining country entry for project teams.
- Gathers and distributes all personnel details for eCountry Clearance (eCC), and when applicable, visa requirements.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus a minimum of 5 years experience in shipping and 2-3yrs of construction procurement administration in a federal government contracting environment; OR 10 plus years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all types of internal and external customers.
- Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work independently with minimum supervision and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to apply sound business judgment and strategic guidance to management in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Working knowledge Customs Regulations for both air and sea shipping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure within short time constraints, and during times of rapidly developing events.

Secret Clearance Level Required:
- Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.
