POSTITION OVERVIEW
- We are seeking a Logistics Analyst who serves as a subject matter expert supporting logistics operations across internal teams and external service partners.
- This role is responsible for managing logistics processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring consistent execution of supply chain procedures.
- The Logistics Analyst plays a key role in vendor coordination, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration to support service operations and supply chain efficiency.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage vendor and third-party logistics partner relationships, including expectations and performance standards
- Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs for logistics operations, including third-party logistics providers and service partners
- Manage and support Inventory Clerks at third-party logistics locations
- Lead vendor meetings and trainings with SMA service partners on logistics expectations and procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal SMA teams to ensure logistics procedures are executed as agreed
- Oversee annual inventory counts for Field Technicians, Service Providers, and returns storage locations
- Communicate professionally with internal and external customers regarding product availability, spare parts, deliveries, and returns
- Train logistics coordinators and ensure they have the tools and resources needed to succeed
- Coordinate and oversee data entry and maintenance in SAP
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve report discrepancies and inventory variances
- Track repair and return of parts to and from Germany
- Create and maintain procedures, technical manuals, software releases, and logistics documentation
- Prepare weekly reports including KPIs, RMAs, returns, and inventory consumption
- Manage logistics-related projects and initiatives
- Investigate material issues and resolve master data inconsistencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role
- Working knowledge of procurement, warehousing, and transportation functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers or service partners
- Experience supporting field service or technical operations environments
- SAP system experience
- Experience with inventory accuracy and reconciliation
- Exposure to renewable energy, manufacturing, or technical service environments
