About the Role

As a Logistics Analyst, you will be a critical part of our supply chain team, responsible for coordinating and executing the day-to-day logistics activities with our 3PL vendors that keep our operations running smoothly. From managing shipments and tracking deliveries to maintaining communication with carriers and internal teams, you'll ensure that products move efficiently and accurately across the supply chain.

In this role, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach are essential. You’ll handle documentation, resolve shipping issues, and help maintain compliance with regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Warehouse and order management: Manage Print books order fulfilment process at warehouse. Manage and monitor exception processes such as, Pharma shipments, Virtual order fulfilment, direct drop shipments from the printers, etc.

  • Provide support in case of final delivery issues (missing phone numbers, address checks, etc.): Analyze stock reconciliation reports between the Elsevier fulfilment systems and warehouse systems, identify root causes for discrepancies, log issues, initiate counts and corrections, etc. Perform month-end check of all orders reported by warehouses and printers as dispatched vs confirmed in the Elsevier fulfilment systems for revenue recognition purpose (SOX control).

  • Invoice processing: Request and obtain PO's for vendor invoicing and monitor spend against Pos. Validate transaction, volume and charge as invoiced by vendors and query discrepancies, follow through till credit received. Prepare invoice coding files by linking data received/obtained from warehouses, printers, freight forwarders, Elsevier fulfilment & warehouse systems and Elsevier finance system. Manipulate data where not in the right format. Load validated coding files in Oracle Invoice Workflow and pre-approve.

  • Reporting: Request, collect, collate periodical Volume, Spend & Performance reports from warehouses, printers, freight forwarders and Elsevier fulfilment & warehouse systems and Elsevier finance systems. Record, report and monitor end to end fulfilment lead times and quality rolled up in On Time In Full (OTIF) KPI.

  • Processes, procedures & compliance: Maintain local repository of standard operating procedures and ensure documentation is up to date. Align processes and procedures with global logistics colleagues where possible. Collaborate to achieve joint outcomes (but via potentially different solutions) for global customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or data analysis

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in logistics software and Excel; SQL is a plus

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
