OVERVIEW:
The Logistics Analyst II will assist in the management of DSG’s Parcel and eCommerce Logistics team’s operational and strategic initiatives by playing a key role in supporting daily operations, creation and maintenance of KPI and metrics reporting, and the development of new operational processes and strategy to improve the flow of goods to athletes. The analyst will support our parcel and hot market networks. The analyst must be able to effectively communicate and work cross-functionally with internal business partners, vendors, and carriers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead & participate in process improvement projects related to the Parcel transportation of goods to our DCs, stores, and athletes. Tasks include documentation of current business processes, cross-functional development of new processes, SOP documentation and maintenance, and developing new solutions to support business initiatives.
Provide direction and operational support to all fulfillment locations (Stores, Distribution Centers, and Vendor Direct).
- Document SOPs and ensure compliance to best practices and procedures.
Provide logistical support and guidance to both eCommerce and Non-eCommerce teams.
Tasks will include gathering and analyzing data, documenting processes, and collaborating closely with internal and external partners on current and future initiatives.
Develop and execute peak season plans.
Plan & track licensed special deliveries/hot market shipments for NFL, NCAA, NHL, NBA & MLB during the playoff seasons and provide shipment updates to leadership teams.
Hot market requires extreme attention to detail and the ability to flex when there are changes to the buying plan.
Work outside of normal business hours is required during hot market events. This role provides primary hot market support.
Independently analyze large amounts of data to optimize shipping processes and metrics and identify opportunities to improve operations, pickup and delivery accuracy, and speed to athlete.
Develop and enhance reporting visibility to monitor and action key performance metrics.
Responsibilities will include monitoring time in transit performance and carrier pickup success while also collaborating internally and externally to resolve issues and solve problems.
Drive process change through exception management reporting and analytics.
Responsible for account creation, setup, and maintenance of all eCommerce and Non-eCommerce parcel accounts. Account setup and maintenance requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely completion and avoid disruptions to business operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of the transportation industry, with a focus in retail and eCommerce
General appreciation for Supply Chain technology solutions, including web applications
Ability to analyze large amounts of raw data to draw insight and summarize into clear, accurate, meaningful, value-added reports and presentations
Ability to assess business challenges and opportunities and identify solutions or build processes to support them
Customer/athlete focused with strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization in written, verbal, and in presentations
Strong analytical aptitude with a working knowledge of logistics
Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
Keen intellectual curiosity and passion for continuous improvement
Excellent written & Verbal Communication Skills
Advanced Excel skills
