About the Role
We operate as a Logistics Control Tower, managing transport operations and load planning for multiple manufacturing sites across Europe. Our mission is to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective logistics solutions, while continuously improving processes and service quality. This position is key to strengthening our logistics operations and supporting our commitment to excellence.
In this role, you will focus on transport order management, mainly on communication with internal clients (sites) and transport allocation to carriers, follow up on carriers´ performance and load planning. You will also contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within our logistics operations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Communication with internal clients
- Receive and confirm transport orders
- Daily data entry and creation of transport orders in transport management systems
- Provide regular updates and reporting
- Tansport order allocation & communication with carriers
- Transport order allocation to contracted carriers and / or alternative transport sourcing
- Time slot management adherence monitoring
- Self bill query resolution
- Follow-up on carriers' KPIs and adress non conformities
- Management of exceptions & load planning
- Alternative sourcing for transports not supported by contracted carriers
- Management of spot requests
- Participation in peak planning and capacity review
About you
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field is an advantage)
- Basic knowledge of Logistics operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with systems and data analysis tools (transport management systems and Microsoft tools such as Excel, Outlook and Power BI)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High resilience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Tolerance to stress and adaptability to unexpected challenges
- Continuous improvement mindset, with proactive approach to optimize processes
- Very good written and spoken English, German or another European language is an advantage
