Ingram Marine Group, the leading carrier on America’s inland waterways, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our logistics team as a Liquids Logistics Services Representative (or Partner) in our Nashville, TN office.

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring commodities reach our customers reliably, efficiently, and safely. This position is a great fit if you thrive in a fast-paced setting, enjoy strategic planning, have an eye for detail, and can adapt quickly to changing priorities. 

 What you will be doing: 

  • Upholding our Zero Harm policy and culture at every level of communication 
  • Managing a river segment, including coordination of boats, barges, vendors, and customers 
  • Performing accurate and timely data entry using Ingram’s suite of logistics applications 
  • Coordinating equipment to efficiently meet our commitments to our customers  
  • Creating towboat orders for expedited tows within your logistical area 
  • Scheduling tank barges on linehaul boats (internal and external) in a timely manner 
  • Communicating directly with customers and vendors to ensure service expectations are met 
  • Reviewing and approving vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness 
  • Collaborating with the sales team to understand and meet customer requirements 
  • Working cross-functionally with all departments to manage operations while maintaining cost efficiency 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (may be waived with significant relevant experience) 
  • 1-3 years of customer service or logistics experience preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills 
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

Additional Information

Work Arrangement:

This role is primarily on-site, with the option to work remotely one day per week (Friday), after a training period.
