The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join the expanding team in Mölndal, Gothenburg. In this position, you’ll support the Supply Chain department operations and take responsibility for managing the stock, deliveries and order handling.
In this position, you’ll stay active and on your feet for the majority of the day. It involves a lot of walking and lifting materials and shipments of up to 10 kg.
It’s a great opportunity to apply your logistics expertise in the storage, tracking, and distribution of laboratory materials, directly supporting scientific research and operations in a high-quality, regulated environment.
This full-time, permanent position is based at our customer’s site in Mölndal, Gothenburg. Working hours: Monday - Friday, start time is between 6:00 - 9:00 and finish time 15:00 - 18:00
The Team
You’ll join a new small team that was established by the end of last year. The team focus on supporting Supply Chain operations wherever it’s needed – whether it’s stores, goods-in, putting materials in the correct places or handling orders. Your team belongs to our department Lab & Production Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
What we’re looking for
- Education: At least a high school diploma
- Experience:
- Logistics operations, including managing incoming deliveries and unpacking them, checking for any potential damages, updating the database and managing the order process
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English; good level of Swedish is required
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Good knowledge of MS Office
How you’ll thrive and create an impact
- Coordinate and execute daily logistics operations including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and ensuring timely movement of consumables, chemicals, and materials to various internal departments and labs
- Manage chemical and material handling by overseeing storage, returns, and safe disposal processes in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Support multiple teams with ad hoc logistics tasks, acting as a flexible resource to reinforce areas in need and maintain efficient workflow across departments
- Perform shipping and administrative duties, including preparing outbound materials, updating documentation, and handling order placement through relevant systems
