The Localization team enables non-English speaking users to thrive on GetYourGuide and unlock the world’s most unforgettable travel experiences without language and cultural barriers, whether as modern explorers, experience creators or strategic partners. We are excited about GetYourGuide’s goals but know that we cannot win globally without adapting locally - a massive challenge with our 35+ B2C and 10+ B2B languages.

We are looking for an experienced, action-oriented team lead to join our dynamic Localization team and take our partnership with Brand and Marketing to the next level! This role is 50% people management and 50% program management.

• Provide strong leadership to a small group of specialists, fostering professional growth, and ensuring continuous outstanding operational performance and project excellence.
• Define team priorities and ensure execution against team and global strategy relating to marketing.
• Identify continuous improvements in our linguistic and general operational processes, growth initiatives and marketing-related AI usage.
• Own, manage and/or delegate projects and high impact initiatives focused on automation to drive growth and innovation.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing leaders, as well as Product, Content & Merchandising and other teams, to ensure seamless and successful execution of initiatives.
• Gather an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape and make recommendations on best practices, staffing, and tooling to enable scale without loss of quality.
• Conduct data analyses to identify and capitalize on growth and efficiency opportunities, engaging with senior-level stakeholders (heads, directors, VPs, and C-level executives).

• You’re a seasoned people manager with 2+ years of experience.
• You’ve got 4+ years of experience in Localization, Growth Strategy, or Marketing in a high performance, fast-paced operational environment, ideally in a global marketplace or SaaS company.
• You're a strategic thinker with excellent business acumen, breaking down complex problems into clear, actionable plans and defining priorities across inhouse and outsourced vendor teams.
• You have a knack for bringing out the best in your direct reports with a leadership style characterized by a supportive and performance-focused approach.
• You're comfortable using tools like Excel, Looker, and external datasets to fuel your strategies. Experience with SQL in tools like Databricks is a plus.
• You're a pro at managing cross-functional projects, aligning multiple stakeholders, and driving engagement and efficiency, and you can coach your team to do the same.
• You’re highly collaborative and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a strong win-win mentality and natural ability to build relationships.
• You are flexible, excited by change, and able to adapt to evolving business needs.
• You confidently take the lead within your scope without needing detailed instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
