Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Localisation Project Manager to join our growing Localisation team in Tallinn.
Our team manages localisation projects across varied content types and language sets, ensuring high-quality, scalable experiences for our global audience. You will run end-to-end localisation initiatives, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, creative teams, and external vendors while driving automation and MT/AI workflows to keep our operations fast, fail-proof, and efficient.
Your Mission
In this role, your primary focus will be running end-to-end localisation projects within established time, cost, and quality frameworks. You will oversee requests across key channels - including our Help Centre, Notification Service, Product UI, and Marketing campaigns - while helping refine internal operations and methodologies for scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
- End-to-End Project Management: Plan, manage, and execute localisation projects across any content type and language set - from initial intake and scoping to QA, release, and post-delivery review.
- Stakeholder Management: Build trust and manage expectations across cross-functional teams. Communicate project status, risk logs, and quarterly pipelines, while identifying opportunities to refine workflows to optimise timelines, quality, or costs.
- Localisation Best Practices: Promote optimal workflows, CAT/TMS tooling, and industry best practices across stakeholders and project teams. Drive continuous process improvement to reduce manual intervention and build scalable operations.
- Budget & Cost Control: Help build quarterly spend forecasts, monitor outsource spend against actuals, and proactively predict and explain budget variances.
- Vendor Operations: Lead day-to-day management of external partners (LSPs and freelancers), regularly tracking quality standards, SLAs, timeliness, rate cards, and invoicing.
- Operational Collaboration: Partner with Localisation Managers to refine internal workflows, documentation, and operational standards.
- Mentorship: Optionally mentor junior Localisation Coordinators to level up their understanding of complex project workflows, stakeholder management, and vendor operations.
About You
- Localisation Experience: 2+ years of project or program management experience delivering cross-functional, end-to-end client-side localisation initiatives (in tech, fintech, or digital product environments).
- Tooling & MT/AI Expertise: Solid hands-on experience using Translation Management Systems / CAT tools (e.g., Crowdin, Phrase, XTM, Smartling) and integrating MT/AI workflows with human review.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Ops: Proven track record managing external vendors (LSPs, freelancers) and collaborating with cross-functional internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Engineering, Legal).
- High-Pressure Execution: Ability to prioritize, flex, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines, changing scopes, and varied content types (UI strings, emails, marketing copy, legal text).
- Autonomy & Ambiguity: Comfortable working with minimal supervision, dealing with ambiguity, and influencing decisions through clear communication and trust-building.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Deep appreciation of linguistic nuances, internationalisation requirements (variables, ICU plurals, RTL), and cultural sensitivities across markets.
- Right to Work in Estonia: You are currently based in Estonia and hold a valid work permit.
Some Extra Hints That Would Be Great (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience managing localisation specifically for Product UI and Marketing content in a financial or tech company.
- Experience with CRM integrations, Git, Figma connectors, or continuous localisation setups.
- Industry certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or Agile/Scrum.
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary: €3,600 – €4,700 gross monthly (depending on your skills and experience)
- Equity: New Hire Stock Grant.
- Growth & Impact: High-impact role in a growing global team with opportunities to launch new languages, experiment with AI tools, and shape localisation operations.
- Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid work setup from our Tallinn office

Our Hiring Process
- Application Review: We evaluate your background in localisation project or program management, focusing on client-side experience, handling product and marketing content, familiarity with CAT/TMS tools (such as Crowdin or Phrase), and MT/AI workflow implementation.
- Screening Call with a Recruiter (30 mins): A brief conversation to discuss your background as a Localisation PM, daily tooling, translation/review/QA processes, vendor management experience and motivation to join Wise.
- 1st Stage Interview – PM Craft & Localisation Fundamentals (45 mins): A conversation to surface your core fit, end-to-end localisation project management craft, tooling knowledge, vendor management, stakeholder expectation setting, and prioritisation under pressure.
- 2nd Stage Interview – Technical & Stakeholder Skills Deep-Dive (60 mins): A technical deep dive covering detailed workflow design, TMS/CAT configurations, quality control systems (LQA, MQM/DQF), data metrics, risk mitigation, and navigating complex stakeholder scenarios.
- Final Interview – Values & Culture Fit (60 mins): We will be focusing on the cross-cultural collaboration, conflict resolution, change management, and how you drive process improvements and balance speed, cost, and quality trade-offs.
