Wachter is accepting applications for Service Electricians for service work for our clients in the Lenexa, KS area. Candidates should be JOURNEYMAN LEVEL have experience as an industrial and commercial electrician.

Requirements:
- Able to work in an underground mine environment.
- Must have at least 2 years of Industrial or Commercial electrical experience.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Work safely in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, and NEC rules and regulations.
- Communicate professionally with the customer and project management team.
- Perform tasks, scheduled assignments, and troubleshoot to ensure that the following electrical and lighting systems are properly maintained and functional: - Emergency Lighting - Exterior Lighting - Interior Lighting - 120v – 480v Electrical Systems - 120/208 - 277/480v Electrical Panels
- Respond to emergency service calls as directed, during the day, at night, and on weekends.
- Complete service repairs, replacements, upgrades, and adjustments on electrical systems and components following issued tasking, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation instructions.
- Complete and submit electronic service orders, time sheets, and reports for each job.
Type of Work:
- Megging wires/motors.
- Troubleshooting control wiring/motor controls.
- Assisting in plant startup.
- Running power/testing.
- Troubleshoot medium voltage wire/gear.
Environment:
- Underground mine, rock quarry.
- Dark, dusty, and muddy environment.
- Heavy industrial setting.
- Need to be an electrician, preferably with heavy industrial/plant experience.
- Any MSHA training would be beneficial, as well as OSHA 10, but not necessary.
- Need to drive from house to job site during the work week.
- Company phone & truck for qualifying candidates.
