Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will hold the Finance responsibility for Specialtrasfo, part of ABB Group, acting as a business partner to the relevant business manager and shaping local finance processes to optimize the financial performance within the local organization. The acquisition will enable ABB’s Motion business area to include specialized transformers in the existing motors and drives offering and further optimize its powertrain portfolio.
Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.
The work model for the role is: Onsite in the Specialtrasfo’s Headquarter in Agrate Brianza
This role is contributing to the Motion High Power Solutions Business Line.
Main stakeholders are Local General Manager, Local Management, Global Business Line Controller.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Responsible for the financial planning of the company's overall strategy, organizing the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, supervising the execution process, conducting variance analysis, proposing improvement suggestions, and promoting cross-departmental initiatives to support strategic objectives.
- Participate in corporate business decision-making, providing professional analysis and decision support from perspectives such as finance, capital, risk, and taxation.
- Supervise the accounting work to ensure it complies with accounting standards and the group's relevant policies, while being accurate, timely, and compliant. Additionally, coordinate the annual audit process to ensure its successful completion.
- Support to establishing, improving, and continuously optimizing the company's financial internal control system, compliance management processes, and risk control framework.
- Actively promote the digital transformation of finance and provide a comprehensive, multi-dimensional data platform.
- Be a part of the core team for establishment and implementation of integration plan and also the company's comprehensive management system.
- Optimize the cost control system, delve into business processes to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement, directly enhancing the company's performance including profit margin.
- Driving the definition and implementation of global standards and business specific guidelines to ensure continuous improvement in financial control process within your area of responsibility.
- Leading, providing guidance, and facilitating best practices to ensure alignment and consistency of controlling practices.
- Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality, and efficiency for your area of responsibility.
- Securing transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
Qualification for the role
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
- Work Experience: 8+ years in a finance or controlling function with sound knowledge of business controlling, project controlling, financial analysis, strategic planning and integration
- Proficient in Local and US GAAP Accounting Standards, fiscal and tax regulations, and familiar with global sales-related business processes: risk management, contract management, credit control, indirect taxes
- You bring a pronounced understanding of collaboration and leadership – ideally with initial experience in leading or influencing teams combined with strong personality
- Solid knowledge of SAP, SAP BW, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- You are at ease communicating in Italian and English
Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: €67.000
Variable Pay: AIP target 15% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
