Avant is seeking a Loan Pricing Associate to support our Loan Pricing & Structured Distribution team. This role will contribute to pricing strategy and unit economics analysis for our personal loan business while also supporting strategic partnerships and distribution relationships.
This role will be instrumental in analyzing how Avant monetizes its loan products and optimizing capital deployment efficiency. You will work closely with product, risk, data science, and finance teams to conduct pricing analysis, evaluate portfolio performance, and support growth initiatives that maximize return on assets and drive business objectives.
What You’ll Do at Avant:
Support pricing and economics analysis across Avant's personal loan business to optimize for growth and profitability
Collaborate with data science to develop and maintain pricing models that incorporate demand elasticity, adverse selection effects, and competitive dynamics
Partner with risk and finance teams to analyze credit performance and capital efficiency metrics
Build and maintain pricing analytics using Python and SQL that measure the success and impact of pricing, credit, and distribution decisions
Conduct competitive intelligence analysis of fintech lenders and traditional financial institutions
Leverage AI tools to build internal applications for enhancing analytics, automating workflows, and accelerating problem-solving
Why you’re a fit at Avant:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field)
2-4 years of experience in finance, consulting, technology, or analytical roles
Experience evaluating pricing strategies, customer lifetime value, or unit economics with a solid understanding of financial and risk metrics
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (pandas, numpy); experience with Databricks is a plus
Demonstrated use of AI tools to increase efficiency in generating deliverables (e.g. ChatGPT, NotebookLM) and automating technical workflows (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor)
Excellent attention to detail and with a high level of ownership for your work deliverables
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex findings to stakeholders
Self-starter who thrives in high-ownership, fast-paced environments
Experience in consumer lending, credit cards, or structured finance is a plus
This role is based on our downtown Chicago Office, located in the Merchandise Mart. We highly value collaboration and our hybrid schedule (M, T, Th in-office) enables flexibility to balance work and individual priorities.
Compensation Range:
The base salary range for this job is USD $85,000 - USD $110,000/ Year
Employees new to Avant typically come in below the midpoint of the pay range. The compensation range is based on the level outlined in the job posting, and compensation decisions are dependent on each applicant's experience, skills and abilities.

This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus. These rewards are allocated based on level, impact and performance in the role.
