Job DescriptionThe Transition Management Lead is a six-month contract role combining SAP SuccessFactors Learning subject-matter expertise with implementation execution, coordination, and project-management discipline.
This individual must be able to work directly with LMS administrators, business owners, and other stakeholders to translate approved learning requirements into configuration plans, identify technical and operational dependencies, review configured behavior, support testing, and resolve implementation issues. Where access, authority, and the agreed responsibility model permit, the lead may perform or directly support SuccessFactors Learning administrative and configuration activities. The role also provides structure to MSX’s workstream participation through plans, action and decision logs, status reporting, escalation, and readiness tracking.
Key Responsibilities
SuccessFactors Learning expertise and implementation support (40%)
- Serve as MSX’s hands-on SuccessFactors Learning resource during implementation, with particular attention to learner experience, administrative workflows, catalogs, curricula, assignment profiles, learning history, certifications, assessments, and instructor-led training.
- Review approved business requirements and configuration designs with the responsible business and technical owners; identify gaps, dependencies, and decisions needed before build or testing.
- Coordinate platform configuration activities.
- Perform or support other configuration tasks, including learning items, curricula, certification paths, assignment profiles, assessments, notifications, learning workflows, user roles, permissions, and administrative access controls.
- Work with stakeholders and business owners to troubleshoot configuration issues and confirm intended learning scenarios function as approved.
- Document configuration decisions, operating procedures, and unresolved issues for the designated long-term owners.
Transition planning and workstream coordination (25%)
- Maintain a clear plan for MSX deliverables, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and readiness activities within the broader project plan.
- Help define practical handoffs and responsibility boundaries among MSX, stakeholders, and business owners, escalating gaps rather than assuming unassigned accountability.
- Facilitate MSX participation in relevant implementation and operational workstreams and provide concise status, risk, issue, and decision reporting.
- Track dependencies involving source data, user attributes, learning rules, platform access, interfaces, reporting, and operational support.
Testing, migration validation, and launch readiness (20%)
- Support UAT planning and execution for learner journeys, assignment logic, certifications, assessments, ILT, administrative permissions, and support scenarios.
- Help investigate defects, document expected versus actual behavior, coordinate retesting, and track resolution with the responsible owners.
- Support migration and reconciliation activities by helping define test scenarios, reviewing representative learner records, and coordinating exceptions. Do not assume ownership of source extraction, platform migration, ODS processing, or final business sign-off unless expressly assigned.
- Contribute to cutover planning, launch-readiness reviews, and hypercare preparation.
Stakeholder communication and documentation (10%)
- Translate SuccessFactors Learning concepts and implementation issues into clear, actionable guidance for project leaders, business owners, administrators, and support teams.
- Maintain assigned process documentation, configuration notes, decisions, and handoff materials in the approved project repository.
- Coordinate with the owners of reporting, QRGs, learner communications, and support documentation to ensure materials reflect tested system behavior.
Operational handoff (5%)
- Transfer practical platform knowledge, troubleshooting procedures, known issues, and administrative guidance to the long-term LMS Administrator and other designated support owners.
- Help confirm that escalation routes, access, documentation, and support procedures are ready for steady-state operations.
Required Qualifications

- Demonstrated, hands-on experience administering or implementing SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
- Experience with learning-platform configuration and administration, including several of the following: learner records, assignment profiles, catalogs, curricula, certifications, assessments, ILT, permissions, or reporting.
- Experience coordinating a cross-functional technology implementation or platform transition, including plans, dependencies, risks, issues, testing, and stakeholder decisions.
- Ability to distinguish configuration execution from business-rule approval, technical-system ownership, and project governance.
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, facilitation, and executive-status communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and project or issue-tracking tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience migrating learning operations or records between LMS platforms, including validation and reconciliation.
- Experience supporting a SuccessFactors Learning launch involving multiple learner populations or brands.
- Familiarity with Cypher Learning, enterprise integrations, SSO, or downstream learning-data reporting.
