Roles and Responsibilities
- Create best in class products by executing a robust design process for maximum product capability, performance, and operability.
- Manage critical systems level efforts like thermal management, engaging customers on key issues, identifying, and owning high level requirements.
- Manage product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down.
- Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams being integrated.
- Bring knowledge and expertise from the SPOCT community to benefit AEO products and customers.
- Provide technical leadership and support to field event investigations for the installed fleet, including formulating control plans, identifying risks and abatements, determining root cause, and implementing field fixes.
- Provide technical leadership and support to aeroderivative engine production and delivery.
- Support the business by leading the aerothermal integration of the listed technical disciplines, manage interfaces between execution organizations (Performance, Operability, Controls and Transient).
- Provide technical guidance to business on engine growth, improvement capabilities and understanding of risks.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, technology, or engineering.
- Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and able to construct and provide recommendations.
- Translate difficult concepts into clear, concise messages for senior leaders and influence stakeholders’ opinions on critical topics.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering bachelor’s degree related to any of the technical disciplines being integrated (Performance, Operability, Controls or Transient). For example, Aeronautical, Mechanical or Energy engineering bachelor’s degree.
- Good aero-thermo understanding with background/experience in Controls, engine transient response, Performance and/or Operability.
- Strong technical contributions to the team.
- Experience coordinating relevant projects with greater autonomy/ownership.
- Experience managing high level of conflict and labor challenges.
- Proven project management skills.
- Cross functional team leadership.
- Well-rounded presentation skills.
