Job Summary:

Analytical position focused on developing controls, reports, and analysis that will lead the complexes to stability and process improvements that influence the results. The Analyst will be an integral part of setting the strategy to improve results based on the knowledge acquired while digging into the data. Must be an energetic, curious and inquisitive person. The specialist will support live operations, as well as pullets, production barns and feed mill.Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Create/develop metrics to help identify constraints/delays
  • Prepare status and performance reports for department goals using Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Assist Plant Management team to ensure production workload requirements are met
  • Plan and prioritize operations
  • Look for root causes that affect results, proposing corrections; all data driven;
  • Support the budget process by supplying data that will build a challenging yet achievable scenario for the complex
  • Communicate clearly and in a simple way the results of analysis so that management can use the reports to improve results; 
  • Be diligent and relentless in tracking the key indicators, simplifying and improving the process as opportunities are observed
  • Other duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:
  • Understanding of food production environments, including traceability and lot control
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high data accuracy
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a live production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicant must have strong computer skills, including MS Word, and Excel, with the ability to create formulas, graphs, pivot tables, and workbooks.
  • Excellent math, statistical, analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Animal Science, Food Science, Engineering) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in live production operation, manufacturing, or food production is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time during inspections and report preparation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, particularly when handling product samples or materials.
  • Ability to use standard quality control tools, including measuring instruments, testing equipment, and computers.
  • Ability to walk around the production floor and plant area when needed.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions that may be present on the production floor.
  • Ability to focus on and identify small details when analyzing data.
