Recently, we have expanded our entertainment offering with Live programming, like the NFL Christmas Day Games, Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Fight, and weekly WWE series recently launched in January of 2025. We are looking for a Live Launch Operations Intern to help drive the success of these live shows. 

Live Launch Operations Intern 

As a Live Launch Operations Center Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn firsthand how Netflix delivers live events to millions of viewers around the world. You will support the Live Command Center team in preparing for and operating live broadcasts, gaining exposure to the technologies and workflows that ensure a flawless viewing experience.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with pre-event testing, rehearsals, and monitoring of live video delivery systems.

  • Helping to prepare devices and monitoring platforms for live events.

  • Supporting the team in coordinating communication across multiple teams and partners during live shows.

  • Participating in incident response and troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced team members.

  • Assisting in compiling operations summaries and documenting post-event learnings.


Who Are You?

  • Graduating December 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree 

    • Preferred majors: Broadcast Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Media Technology, Information Systems, or related technical fields with an emphasis on real-time systems or media delivery

  • Experience working in a live environment (e.g., school television station, live broadcasting, or streaming roles), or hands-on experience with live event production, streaming platforms, or network operations

  • Understanding of end-to-end live streaming technologies and familiarity with streaming or broadcast technology, signal transport, encoding, and media delivery. Knowledge of CDNs, ISPs, and network engineering is a strong plus

  • Knowledge of studio hardware such as multi-view video monitoring, communications panels, multi-channel audio monitoring, or IPTV transport

  • Experience or interest in incident response management and continuous improvement processes

  • Strong communication skills—clear and concise in both speech and writing, especially during high-pressure or ambiguous situations

  • Demonstrated curiosity and motivation to learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance and manage project execution in a sometimes ambiguous environment. Can take initiative and demonstrate self-sufficiency

  • Interest in Netflix, entertainment, content, and the challenges of delivering live shows

The Summer Internship

The overall market range for Netflix Internships is typically $25/hour - $110/hour.
