Our Fort Lauderdale office is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal who is AI-curious and technologically savvy to join our dynamic Litigation Practice Group. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking professional who not only excels in traditional litigation support, but also embraces emerging technologies and is eager to explore how AI and other legal technology tools can improve efficiency, accuracy, and case outcomes. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and partnering with attorneys and colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.
This is a hybrid position requiring three (3) in-office days per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday).
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, hearings, and trial preparation
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and Lexis
- Manage discovery and e-discovery workflows, including document review and production
- Utilize AI and legal technology tools to improve research, document review, and workflow efficiency
- Organize and maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines
- Prepare deposition summaries, exhibits, and trial materials
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, experts, vendors, and legal support professionals
- Support trial teams and courtroom technology needs
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Track billable time in accordance with firm policies
- Partner with leadership on process improvement and operational initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment
- Strong knowledge of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- AI-curious with an interest in using technology to improve productivity and legal workflows; AI experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with litigation support tools such as iManage, Relativity, and Trial Director
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with or strong interest in trial support
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
