Block LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys through all phases of the litigation process. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing complex cases from inception through trial preparation.
The Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting plaintiff-side litigation matters by assisting with case management, discovery, document preparation, court filings, and client communication. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both clients and the legal team.

What You'll DoLitigation Support- Assist attorneys throughout all stages of the litigation process, from case development through trial preparation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
- File legal documents with courts and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
- Monitor litigation calendars and track critical case deadlines.
- Organize, maintain, and update case files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage document collection, review, and production during the discovery process.
- Coordinate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel as needed.
- Maintain accurate case notes and records within the firm's case management system.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information, documentation, and case updates.
- Provide professional and timely updates regarding case status and litigation milestones.
- Assist clients throughout the litigation process with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including creating trial binders and exhibit lists.
- Gather, organize, and prepare evidence for hearings, mediations, and trial.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, independent medical examinations, and court appearances.
- Support attorneys during critical stages of litigation and case resolution.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Plaintiff Litigation Paralegal.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong understanding of California civil litigation procedures, rules, and deadlines.
- Experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury, property damage, or landlord-tenant litigation matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
- Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with habitability litigation matters.
- Experience preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, or trial.
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and court procedures throughout California.
- Experience working in a high-volume plaintiff-side law firm environment.
