Stark & Stark is actively recruiting for a Litigation Associate for our Hamilton, NJ office to work in Construction Litigation. The right candidate will have an extraordinary opportunity to continue their professional development in a challenging, but collegial, environment.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will support the Construction Litigation group attorneys in commercial and multifamily residential construction litigation matters.
- Responsible for all phases of litigation, with an emphasis on drafting pleadings, engaging in written discovery, taking and defending depositions and oral motion hearings and assistance at trial.
- Manage general corporate contracts, legal opinions, by-law amendments, rule creation, and litigation.
- Provide timely and consistent updates on the status of cases and assignments.
- Work primarily in office, maintaining a physical presence to ensure in-person collaboration and engagement with the team.
- Participating in trade organizations, conferences and networking events.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Two to four years of experience handling civil litigation matters is required.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Possess superior verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong integrity and professionalism.
- Exercise sound judgment and the ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team.
- Must be able to act with a sense of urgency while presenting a calm demeanor.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to solve problems independently.
- The ideal candidate will have an interest in handling litigation matters.
- Admission to New Jersey is required. Admission in Pennsylvania is a plus.
