THE POSITION
Keyera is seeking a Supervisor to oversee the Liquids Control Centre is our Sherwood Park Location. This role will have clear accountability for the safe and efficient operation of our heartland LI and NGL pipeline assets, managed out of our centralized control centre. The Supervisor will oversee all aspects of safe day to day operation, leadership oversight, compliance with control room management standards and regulations, and assuring the team is meeting all aspects of the daily receipt and delivery of products managed out of the LCC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide ongoing support and leadership to all LCC operations staff.
- Ensure Control Centre personnel are trained, qualified, and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Control Centre participation in MOC processes, including review, communication, implementation, and verification of operational changes.
- Discuss and align with Operations specialist on system operational improvements to maximize efficiency.
- Support development and maintenance of practices and procedures governing control room operations and emergency response plans.
- Support continuous improvement, team development, and operational excellence while acting on behalf of the Manager when required
- Ensure control centre positions are always staffed and maintain a relief/coverage plan and schedule
- Work with Training Supervisor to develop and update job curriculum for controllers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Control Centres or a similar field
- Progressive experience leading robust teams
- Professional, approachable, and people-first leadership style with the ability to coach, engage and hold others accountable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workplace or office-management systems.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and a strong working knowledge of pipeline operations, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- Exceptional decision-making skills with ability to anticipate risks, impact and use sound judgment.
- This role is subject pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing and ongoing compliance with the company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy.
