Description:

Strategy Team Intro
At Lippincott, the Strategy team takes on the problems that have no clear answer but need one—the launches, pivots, and reinventions that demand original ideas and proven expertise Our work spans three disciplines: brand strategy, marketing and customer strategy, and naming. Together with Design and Experience colleagues across the firm, we help clients navigate their biggest challenges, from rising above competitive noise, to uncovering new frontiers for growth, to crafting the signature moments that make a brand unmistakable. You'll advise leaders across markets and industries, bringing rigorous creativity and dynamic energy to every opportunity—the same spirit that's helped Lippincott shape icons, disruptors, and category-creators since 1943.

Role Overview
Marketing & Customer Strategy (MCS) is a discipline within Lippincott's Strategy practice, bringing rigorous customer science to the sorts of creative and strategic challenges the firm has tackled for over 80 years. MCS is built on a particular conviction: that the sharpest strategy starts with genuinely understanding who a company is serving, what those people need, and how to reach them and expand share of their attention, loyalty, and spend. It's a discipline that sits confidently at the intersection of human insight and hard analytics, and it's one of the fastest-growing areas of the firm.

As a Consultant on the MCS team, you're here to learn by doing. You'll be keenly focused on the why behind customer attitudes and behaviors, blending analytical rigor with creative curiosity to translate data into insight, and insight into recommendations clients can act on. You won't be expected to have the answers on day one, but you will be expected to ask sharp questions and develop a real point of view, all while growing quickly through hands-on coaching from people who've spent their careers at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and customer science. On any given day, you might be crafting a customer targeting strategy for a leading retailer, designing the optimal go-to-market offering for a technology startup, or building the model that helps a global brand justify its next big marketing investment. The work is demanding, varied, and never far from the decisions that matter most to a business.
