Linux Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, architecture, and design. The Linux architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Linux-based systems. They will work closely with other members of the IT team and key business members to ensure that all systems are running efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based systems.
- Standardize, maintain and deploy Linux OS images and software packages.
- Ensure that systems are secure and reliable.
- Increase efficiency within the I.T. department through designing, streamlining and automating processes.
- Develop and maintain configuration management solutions.
- Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools.
- Monitor and tune performance to ensure high availability of Linux-based systems.
- Work with members of IT, Project Management Organizations, and business leadership to architect IT solutions that meet business requirements.
- Evaluate new technologies and trends in order to make recommendation on how they can be implemented to positively impact the company.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
- System configuration and troubleshooting.
- Disaster recovery design and planning.
Qualifications
Required:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant certifications.
- 8+ years of experience in Linux administration.
- Proven experience as a Linux architect\engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux systems (Red Hat, ect) and architecture.
- Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Experience in supporting Linux servers running Oracle and SAP.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Proficient in English both written and spoken.
