Qualifications / Experience:
- Having at least 2 years of experience as a Linux administrator.
- Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of RedHat Linux 7,8 and 9 servers
- Experience in Installing and Patching Linux servers using RedHat Satellite
- Experience in Deploying Virtual Machines in any virtualization platform (VMWare/Nutanix) and Troubleshooting VM related Issues.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting knowledge (Shell Scripting/Ansible)
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Basic networking concepts and OSI model
- Have understanding about IT service Management process and willing to learn
- Coordinating with the team; managing regular tasks and incidents; achieving SLAs in a timely manner with required improvements.
- Provide 24x5 technical support with weekend on-call availability for customer issues and vendor escalations.
- Complete all mandatory training sessions to gain an understanding of the environment and begin supporting operational activities related to RedHat Linux, Satellite, Ansible and OpenShift infrastructure.
- Ensure a Service Level Agreement (SLA) of over 95% for handling incidents and catalog tasks.
- Provide support for Jira cases and implement Requests for Change (RFCs) according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor the environment for potential system issues and resolve them appropriately.
- Follow the change management process for planned maintenance or when potential issues are identified.
- Willing to adapt and learn new technologies to provide efficient operations support.
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), Analytical, Problem-solving skills.
- Passionate and accountable for the environment you will be responsible.
- Able to handle the customers and working with cross functional teams over the voice/email/chat.
Education:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience.
