JOB TITLE: Stock linen and amenities
DEPARTMENT: Hotel
REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Manager
WORK DAYS/HOURS: 8:00am to 4:30pm must work weekends and holidays
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To ensure the housekeepers have what they need in order to do an effective job, in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stocking closets on all the floors.
Distribute linens and product.
Take out garbage.
Remove dirty linens from the shoots.
Cleaning stairwells.
Shampoo carpets as needed
PERFORMANCE SKILLS:
Must be able to do the following repetitive duties:
*be able to bend down from the waist
*twist upper body from side to side
*Reach arms above your head
*lift and/or carry at least 50 lbs.
*work from a stooping or kneeling position
*must be able to work around/with cleaning chemicals
Must be able to work with a routine and stick to it;
Must be able to work independently; stocking the closets.
Must be able to be on feet all day
Must be able to walk long distances
Trained employees will be expected to remove dirty linens, stock clean linens, and products on all the floors, in all the buildings on a daily basis.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills Required
- Able to bend from the waist, twist upper body, reach arms above head
- Lift and/or carry at least 50 lbs
- Work from a stooping or kneeling position
- Able to work around/with cleaning chemicals
- Able to work on feet all day and walk long distances
- Able to follow and stick to routine; work independently
- Stock closets on all floors and distribute linens and products daily
- Remove dirty linens from shoots and take out garbage
- Shampoo carpets as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
