POSITION TITLE: Linen Room Manager
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
REPORTS TO: Area Linen Room Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Area Linen Room Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of off-site linen distribution, including production flow, cost management, staffing, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role also involves training, motivating, and managing the distribution team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of linen products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee linen distribution operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and adjust workflow and schedules as needed to meet production goals.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain quality control by monitoring linen standards and addressing any issues.
- Foster a clean, safe, and organized linen distribution area.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient purchasing, production, and delivery processes.
- Set and manage staffing schedules to meet operational demands.
- Hire, train, and supervise linen distribution staff, ensuring a motivated and well-trained team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize and lead team meetings to ensure communication and alignment of goals.
- Ensure linen quality standards are met and address any deviations.
- Attend corporate training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies and best practices.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the community and clients, delivering excellent customer service.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to recognize and adhere to safety practices and handle occupational hazards.
- Physical ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds and lift objects up to 30 pounds.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills with proven success in achieving business results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
