POSITION TITLE: Linen Room Manager

POSITION TYPE:  Full-Time

REPORTS TO: Area Linen Room Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Area Linen Room Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of off-site linen distribution, including production flow, cost management, staffing, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role also involves training, motivating, and managing the distribution team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of linen products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee linen distribution operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and adjust workflow and schedules as needed to meet production goals.
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Maintain quality control by monitoring linen standards and addressing any issues.
  • Foster a clean, safe, and organized linen distribution area.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient purchasing, production, and delivery processes.
  • Set and manage staffing schedules to meet operational demands.
  • Hire, train, and supervise linen distribution staff, ensuring a motivated and well-trained team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Organize and lead team meetings to ensure communication and alignment of goals.
  • Ensure linen quality standards are met and address any deviations.
  • Attend corporate training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies and best practices.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the community and clients, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to recognize and adhere to safety practices and handle occupational hazards.
  • Physical ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds and lift objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills with proven success in achieving business results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
