Skilled Work: Put your mechanical and diagnostic skills to work repairing and improving production equipment.

What You’ll Do- Perform production line setups and changeovers according to production schedules and product specifications.
- Adjust machine settings and operating parameters to optimize productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and operational issues during production runs.
- Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain production standards.
- Verify that equipment is properly configured before startup and throughout production.
- Assist operators in identifying and correcting minor equipment-related issues.
- Ensure setup procedures are completed accurately and consistently.
- Maintain setup and communicate line performance concerns to supervision.
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment setup and production efficiency.
- Participate in training programs to improve setup and troubleshooting skills.
- Assist with new product trials and setup validation activities.
- Support production improvement projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to understand machine operating procedures, setup instructions, and production specifications.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical and operational issues.
- Ability to communicate equipment concerns and production issues effectively.
- Ability to perform machine adjustments safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records related to machine setups and changeovers.
- Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training or equivalent work experience preferred.
- One or more years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with machine setup, changeovers, or production equipment adjustments preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years or more of experience performing line setups in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with packaging or production equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in an efficient, safe, and timely manner.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime when required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required by the position.

Skills Required
- 1-2 year technical degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a production environment in a similar position
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, schematics, and diagrams
- Experience using diagnostic equipment such as VOM meters
- Proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment, including lathes and milling machines
- Understanding of safe maintenance practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- 2-year degree in engineering or technology
- 5-10 years of experience repairing packaging machines or similar production equipment
