About The Opportunity
Responsibility to operate a production line and supervise a staff where an acceptable finished product should be created.Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
- Professional in attitude and performance in supervision of staff
- Work in conjunctions with other departments for positive production results
- Inspection of product every hour or more frequently depending if the job is complex or critical in its design or use
- Knowledge of the rates of the jobs running on the production line you are responsible for
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
- Ability to multi task
- Perform all functions as required in WMS (SAP)
- Responsible for training line workers in all aspects of production line work
- Responsible for maintaining company safety environment
- Responsible for effectively managing company procedures and policies
- Willing to work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Production Manager
- Responsible for following and complying with Company GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintaining quality work and product
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/GED preferred and/or three to six months related experience or training in warehouse production
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to understand all aspects of the WMS system
- Ability to understand quality standards, methods and reporting as required
- Ability to plan in advance for production in your area
- Ability to interpret instructions both oral and written
- Ability to produce at a high level through your staff
- Ability to work with plant management for required results
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system
- Microsoft Office, SAP, calculator
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Required to stand up to 8 plus hours a day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
- Must be able to reach, squat, stoop, bend
- Must have physical dexterity of hands and fingers
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season
