Job Description- Carry out thorough periodic inspections of lifting equipment and accessories.
- Confirm date of inspection to client for adequate preparation.
- Responsible for having necessary instructions/documents to conduct the inspection.
- Responsible for appearing in a represent able manner on client’s premises (i.e. wearing the respective uniform as specified by the Division).
- Responsible for applying inspection as specified in the order sheet.
- Have adequate gear and equipment’s to perform job in an optimal manner.
- Ensure that the SGS measuring/test equipment used during inspection is calibrated.
- Notify laboratory of forthcoming tests/analysis where required.
- Perform / Witness tests/analysis where applicable.
- Accurately complete inspection reports and deliver them on time as per order sheet requirements.
- Follow-up with back-Office team to resolve discrepancies observed during inspection.
- Inform Back-office team about inspection developments on the site.
- Participate in final report and certificate issued to client.
- Provide prompt and professional response to customer complaints and take necessary action for resolving the same in conjunction with the Division Management.
- Responsible for reviewing, understanding and implementing the internal quality requirements for the company’s QMS.
- Interface between Company and customer.
- Share expertise and train Junior Inspectors on mastering their inspection skills and gaining expertise in a specific product/commodity.
- Responsible for attending any training course once approved or assigned to it.
- Make suggestions on improving effectiveness and efficiency of the Inspection.
- Undertake any additional duties as delegated by the superior to assist in the achievement of inspection objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Proven Experience 10+ as Lifting Inspector, with a very good knowledge in Lifting and generic knowledge in Industries & Environment inspections.
- Very good Communication Skills.
- Time & Quality Oriented.
- Perceptual Speed — The ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among sets of letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns. The things to be compared may be presented at the same time or one after the other. This ability also includes comparing a presented object with a remembered object.
- Candidates must be good in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Have a Minimum of 4 LEEA Certificates + NDT level II VT, PT, UT, MT.
- (Foundation, LAC and any other relevant Diploma)
