Key accountabilities:
- Commission the lift in accordance with the agreed specification parameters
- Test the lift in accordance with the relevant test documents and KONE standard interpretation of EN81, Lift Directive and/or Design (Essential Health & Safety Requirements compliance)
- Take measurements and complete the necessary documentation
- Record any abnormalities for corrective action or inclusion in H&RA for the lift/site
- Carry out final inspection and sign the Final inspection document
- Liaise with relevant site personnel to ascertain state of lift
- Take part in meetings and work groups related to quality and technical issues
- Is responsible for the lift well security (safe for other trades and public etc) and safety of all persons involved in the installation activities during commissioning and testing of the lift
- Report the condition of the lift to the Supervisor who is responsible for site activities
Qualifications and previous experience:
- minimum 50-70% of NVQ4 or equivalent Lift Engineering qualification. We provide opportunity to complete NVQ4 with KONE
- Previous experience as a Lift Tester
- Familiarity with operating systems e.g. Windows, basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN)
- Good written and spoken English
- Clear UK driving licence
