As a LifeStyles Lead, you will coordinate the programming of the Group Exercise department through classes and small group offerings to provide members with a safe and positive environment to improve their health and fitness. You will also instruct/teach exercise classes approximately 50 minutes long, requiring flexibility and the desire to learn new formats. Using your knowledge of wellness and holistic health, you will help enhance the members’ experience and drive motivation. This position offers a great way to stretch your management and leadership skills at one of the most respected healthcare systems in the world.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts between 5:30AM – 10:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assist in the work activities of the caregiver in their assigned area.
Participate in interviewing and training new caregivers.
Assist in payroll, scheduling caregivers, ordering supplies and covering shifts as needed.
Help develop, instruct and supervise the quality of programs and services.
Support maintaining an appropriate schedules for all locations.
Assist in implementing a promotional strategy to generate maximum participation in all activities and programs.
Assist with the LifeStyles Emergency Action Plan (EAP) staff training, CPR/AED training and certification and incident debriefings.
Conduct regular inspections focusing on safety and cleanliness.
Provide input to manager for annual department budget.
Participate in Manager On Duty (MOD) rotation.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma/GED
Basic Life Support (BLS) with AED Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Certifications from nationally recognized certifying body that encompasses the overall basics for all formats
One year of experience in assigned area
Knowledge of administrative procedures and personnel management
Excellent communication and customer service-related skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Experience leading group exercise classes
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to travel between the LifeStyles locations.
Ability to operate a computer.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
