WGN-TV is currently seeking a Producer to join our lifestyle show “Daytime Chicago”.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing stories/ideas/rundowns for daily show
- Producing segments and one-hour lifestyle shows
- Booking and coordinating guests for segments
- Be on headset and oversee studio during one-hour live shows
- Collaborate with WGN-TV’s large sales staff and diverse list of clients
- Schedule (taping times and corresponding air dates for) sponsored content
- Work with Executive Producer/Producer/Director to plan programs
- Write copy for web and air
- Contribute to WGN+ programming in a variety of areas
Qualifications:
- Three-Five (3-5) years of experience working on a lifestyle show required (experience in Live TV preferred)
- Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in communications/related field or equivalent experience
- Line producing and desktop editing skills
- Excellent organizational skills required to complete tasks on deadline while planning programs far in advance
- Experience working with clients and sales staff
- Must have strong communication, planning, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to function under deadline pressure.
- Familiar with ENPS and Adobe Premiere Pro

SALARY RANGE: $65K - $75K Annualized - commensurate with applicant's experience and skill level
