About the Role: (Thursday and Saturday Permanent Part Time)
As a Lifestyle Carer at Mary Andrews Village in South Hurstville, you will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our residents by promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. You will work closely with our residents to develop and implement individual lifestyle plans that support their personal interests, abilities, and goals. Your compassionate and patient approach will help create a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel valued and cared for.

Essential requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification or,

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Health Science or Community Services.

  • All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

  • NDIS Screening Check Clearance

About You:

  • Experience in aged care or disability support is highly desirable.

  • A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lifestyle programs tailored to the needs and preferences of residents.

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and social engagement.

  • Encourage and support residents to participate in recreational and leisure activities.

  • Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

  • Collaborate with the broader care team to provide holistic support to residents.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility.
