The Audiobooks.com Subscription Lifecycle Management team is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist for an 18-month contract. This team of highly creative and book-loving individuals is responsible for connecting fantastic audiobooks to a diverse group of listeners.  Reporting to the Head of Lifecycle, the Lifecycle Marketing Specialist will own segmentation, targeting, and automation strategies across all app and email communications, helping ensure campaigns are personalized, data-driven, and aligned with business and lifecycle objectives.

In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for our CRM platform, building communication flows, coordinating content and data requests, and supporting analysis of member behavior, engagement, churn, and lifecycle trends. You will design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize communications and department KPIs. Attention to detail, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making are essential, as your work directly influences the effectiveness of our campaigns and overall member experience.

You are resourceful, curious, and excited to learn. You will be able to differentiate content for unique audiences, run split tests and analyze results, and collaborate to share ideas. We’re an audiobook company to our customers, but a tech company at our core. Responsibilities:

  • Build, optimize, and maintain data-backed communications flows across app and email channels that support the customer journey (e.g., onboarding, retention, reactivation)
  • Lead all segmentation and targeting strategies for automated and manual campaigns
  • Serve as the primary contact of Braze, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating API and data requests to support campaign execution
  • Contribute to overseeing all communications, ensuring alignment with lifecycle objectives
  • Measure, analyze, and report on various marketing initiatives, member behavior, and lifecycle trends
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments and A/B tests to optimize campaigns and inform best practices
  • Distribute surveys to targeted audiences and analyze trends year over year
  • Collaborate with and support team members as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills
  • Experience in marketing communication software, an asset (Braze)
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, English, Data Science, Statistics, or other data/marketing-related programs
  • 3/4 years of previous experience working in communications or marketing, or holding comparable experience
  • Familiarity with HTML Coding, Liquid, and APIs is an asset
  • Familiarity with SQL (or equivalent) is an asset
  • Experience with content development (Copy and graphic design) is an asset
  • Experience creating surveys is an asset (Survey Monkey)
  • Being passionate about books is an asset
  • Familiarity with Canva is an asset
  • Familiarity with a BI system (i.e. Quicksight) is an asset
