We currently have a role available for a Life Science Project Manager in a remote work setting. Because of the demanding nature of this role, the selected candidate should be in a distraction-free environment.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct and indirect support to external engagement enablement and procurement needs:
- Understand external engagement requests and translate them into actionable contractual enablement steps aligned with the established process.
- Actively coordinate with the operational PMs, business operation contacts and other key stakeholders to assign priorities to the ongoing and new external engagement activities. Activities include but not limited to initiating contract requests, enabling contract execution, tracking, and communicating progress of the activities to the operational PMs and key stakeholders.
- Actively maintain multiple operational trackers for contracts and licensed material requests.
- Provide support to procurement activities and processes for new vendor enablement and onboarding, third party management, requesting quotes for specialized reagents, creating requisitions/PO’s, reviewing and approving invoices etc.
- Utilize scientific systems software to review and update registration records for purchased license materials.
- Provide assistance and support to administrative, logistical and other operational areas:
- Enable documentation and communication support to international shipping and receiving logistics.
- Create and maintain distribution lists on demand.
- Support and schedule cross functional in person and virtual meetings on demand.
- Compiling, comparing and formatting documents that are collaboratively prepared across multiple discovery groups.
- Assist in planning for on-site and off-site team and cross-functional meetings on demand.
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in science related discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry etc.) is preferred and 3-4 years of professional experience in an organization and/or coordination role in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industry is required.
- Previous experiences in pharmaceutical and biotech industries in service based CROs, procurement, organizational project management, contractual enablement (SOW review, draft etc.), managing administrative tasks and shipping logistics are preferred.
- The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, self-motivated and highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to anticipate gaps and apply proactive and practical approaches to problem solving.
- Demonstrating excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with consistent delivery of tasks with moderate supervision applying independence, pragmatism, and accountability will be highly valuable.
- Familiarity in using SmartSheet, Ariba and/or any other procurement or organizational tools will be desirable.
This is a day shift position (approx. 8a-5p local time).
