The Life Insurance Sales Manager supports and coaches agents of an assigned region to increase life insurance revenue. Works closely with management to facilitate and drive life insurance sales. Manages the selling performance of agents and monitors appropriate staffing levels for the assigned region. Resolves member issues. Works with branch leadership to oversee day-to-day performance of agents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Sales and Distribution Development
- Identify and recruit new life insurance agents within the assigned geographic area. Conduct training and onboarding for new agents, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance. Develop and implement strategies to expand the distribution network and increase market penetration.
- Performance Management and Coaching
- Monitor and analyze agent performance metrics, providing feedback and coaching to improve results. Conduct regular performance reviews and develop individual development plans for agents. Motivate and inspire agents to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Relationship Management and Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including agents, internal departments, and external partners. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop and implement effective sales campaigns. Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts. Maintain accurate records of agent activity and performance.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong sales coaching skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Driven people leader with effective coaching, organization and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in customer issue resolution
- Ability to work an extended hour schedule as necessitated by business need
- In-depth knowledge of Life Insurance industry
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM)
EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years or High School diploma plus 12 years life insurance industry experience
- 2+ years of experience in a life insurance leadership role
- Life Insurance License
- Valid Driver's License
- Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AAA products and systems
WORKING ENVIRONMENT / MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
