White Oak Kings Mountain is seeking a well-organized, outgoing and creative individual for our Life Enrichment Director position.
We are a 154-bed Skilled Long Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitation Facility located at 716 Sipes Street in Kings Mountain, NC
The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive program of activities that enhance the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident, tailored to their individual needs, interests, abilities, and prior lifestyle. This role also manages the volunteer program, supervises Life Enrichment Department staff, and ensures that all recordkeeping and medical documentation are accurate, timely, and compliant with Federal and State regulations, as well as NHC/White Oak Management, Inc. policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have High School diploma or GED and completion of a basic activity director course within nine months of employment. Must have the ability to work effectively with elderly patients, demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, and maintain a self-motivated, creative, and positive personality. A willingness to learn new ideas and skills, along with a sense of humor and the ability to appreciate both success and failure, is essential. Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with partners, family members, and the community are required. The position also demands patience, organizational ability, assertiveness, and conscientiousness, while always maintaining a professional appearance. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evening and weekend events, is expected. Must demonstrate the ability to supervise others in a firm, fair, and consistent manner.
