We're looking for a Life Enrichment Director who will create engaging experiences that celebrate each resident's unique interests, abilities, and life story while leading a dynamic activities program that enhances quality of life.

As the Life Enrichment Director, you'll inspire residents, families, volunteers, and team members through innovative programming that promotes physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.

What You'll Do
  • Design, plan, and lead a vibrant seven-day-a-week life enrichment program tailored to the needs of residents in Assisted Living, Enhanced Care, and Memory Care.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents to create individualized activities based on their interests, abilities, and life experiences.
  • Complete resident life stories and incorporate personal histories into engaging programming.
  • Coordinate a variety of activities including:
    • Music and entertainment
    • Exercise and wellness
    • Arts and crafts
    • Religious and spiritual programs
    • Pet therapy
    • Intergenerational events
    • Reminiscence programs
    • Community outings
    • Educational and recreational activities
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise the Life Enrichment team.
  • Develop and maintain a strong volunteer program by partnering with local schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations.
  • Plan and coordinate resident outings and transportation.
  • Facilitate resident council and family meetings.
  • Document resident participation and collaborate with the nursing team to support individualized service plans.
  • Prepare monthly activity calendars and ensure residents, families, and staff remain informed.
  • Manage department budgets, supplies, and activity resources.
  • Collaborate with all departments to create engaging community-wide events and celebrations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience working in activities, recreation, social services, or a related program within the past five years.
  • Experience working with older adults required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting and coordinating volunteers is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Must meet all applicable state and federal background screening, training, and regulatory requirements.
