GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Licence Issuer performs specialized administrative and customer service work involved in various aspects of Auto Fund functions related to answering inquiries and issuing and correcting licencing products, including all related processes and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Note: This section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities – other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Determines class or permit type, calculates applicable fees and refunds, and corrects motor vehicle licencing products, including, but not limited to, registrations, drivers' licences, permits, and vehicle impoundments.
Answers inquiries and provides technical assistance and information relating to the services, products, and programs offered by SGI Auto Fund, and/or explains licence issuing procedures, legislation, and regulations to employees, issuers, and/or the public in person, by phone, or via email.
Answers routine inquiries in person, by phone, or email; provides limited information to issuers, the public, and employees relating to corporate programs or initiatives; and provides direction on where to access detailed information.
Processes motor vehicle licencing products, including, but not limited to, registrations, licences, permits, vehicle impoundments and other related documents in accordance with established procedures and schedules, using manuals and automated systems.
Negotiates repayment of receivables owed by customers to the Auto Fund.
Answers inquiries related to The Automobile Accident Insurance Act, The Traffic Safety Act, and other related Acts and their regulations.
Ensures customer data is protected and privacy rules are followed.
Inputs data and/or makes inquiries using computer system(s).
Gathers necessary data and information to answer inquiries from internal and/or external persons.
Completes licensing and/or permit forms accurately and verifies fees.
Reviews documents and completes investigations in order to determine individual or business eligibility and compliance with regulation to license and register in Saskatchewan.
Answers inquiries related to the International Registration Plan (IRP) and process IRP fleet transactions.
Follows guideline document and, after factoring in customer history, determines appropriate IRP Business Recognition rate and Inexperience rate for a new IRP customer (in applicable Regina positions).
Prepares daily deposits and balance to end of period report, ensuring accuracy with cash balancing and discrepancies.
Ensures inventory levels are maintained and supplies are kept securely (e.g., licence plate and stickers).

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Advanced knowledge of vehicle and driver’s licence classifications, rating and issuing systems, procedures, documents, and forms.
Advanced knowledge of specific automated systems utilized by the Auto Fund.
Proficient knowledge of all Auto Fund driver and vehicle programs.
Proficient knowledge of The Automobile Accident Insurance Act, The Traffic Safety Act, and other related Acts and their regulations.
Fundamental knowledge of the functions of the Auto Fund and its business partners.
Fundamental accounting knowledge to complete daily balancing and discrepancy reports.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business or Social Sciences, or defined equivalency.
Applicant required to enroll in the CIP course as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
EXPERIENCE
1 – 2 years’ experience working in an insurance, customer service, or related role.
