Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Liaison/MRB Engineer or Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Wichita, KS.
This requisition may be filled as either a Liaison/MRB Engineer (level 2) or a Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer (level 3) based on the qualifications below.
Key Responsibilities:
The Liaison/MRB Engineer will be responsible for dispositioning discrepant supplier material tags.
The successful candidate will have experience designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from advanced composite and metallic materials.
Tasks will include interfacing with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups (such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel) in the design center and build facilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus.
Basic Qualifications for a Liaison Engineer Level 2:
Liaison/MRB Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related professional/military experience, to include a background in advanced composite airframe structures; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.
Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility.
Experience with military specs and standards.
Experience with repair processes for advanced composite materials and processes used in aerospace structures.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.

Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5+ years related professional/military experience, to include a background in advanced composite airframe structures; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of related professional/military experience.
