Level Designer (Disney Magic Kingdoms)

Gameloft Ukraine is seeking a Level Designer to join our creative team.

You will be responsible for creating locations, integrating content, setting up quests, directing cut-scenes, and configure content and gameplay parameters related to the visual side of the game and level design setup within the project.

Responsibilities:

• Create game locations using our internal toolset and third-party editors
• Integrate content, configure gameplay parameters, script quest logic
• Contribute to the creative vision and idea generation related to level design.
• Develop level design concepts and refine gameplay mechanics from the perspective of overall game design and artistic composition of game locations.
• Oversee the level design process from concept development to quality control during in-game implementation.
• Collaborate with other departments (2D/3D artists, developers, QA, etc.) on level design.
• Write and maintain design documentation

• Experience as a game designer or level designer, or in developing and prototyping your own projects.
• Proven experience in creating and assembling game maps (preferably in expedition or farming genres).
• Basic proficiency in graphic editors, SVN & Git, understanding of XML structure.
• Passion for video games and game development;
• Excellent attention to detail and strong sense of accountability;
• Good communication skills and strong work ethic;
• Reliable and thorough in execution;
• Ukrainian — full working proficiency;
• English — full working proficiency.

Would be considered a plus:

• Experience in programming or knowledge of scripting languages;
• Experience with popular game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine);
• Experience with animation and directing in-game cutscenes.
