We are looking for an experienced Senior Level Designer to craft engaging, polished, and memorable gameplay experiences for our projects. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in FPS level design, strong cross‑disciplinary collaboration skills, and a passion for creating environments that challenge and inspire players.
Responsibilities- Design and build engaging game levels that balance challenge, reward, player progression, and overall gameplay goals;
- Collaborate closely with art, programming, narrative, technical art, and design teams to integrate gameplay mechanics, visuals, story, and assets into cohesive levels;
- Ensure levels are technically feasible within engine and project constraints, working closely with programmers and technical artists;
- Organize and participate in playtesting sessions, gather feedback, and iterate on level designs based on player, team, and stakeholder input;
- Track level design progress, communicate updates to lead level designers and project managers, and identify blockers or risks in a timely manner;
- Refine and optimize levels to improve gameplay flow, readability, pacing, and overall player experience;
- Provide guidance and support to junior designers when needed.
- 5–7 years of game design experience with a strong focus on FPS level design.
- Participation in at least two AAA titles and a strong portfolio with polished, well‑structured levels.
- Deep understanding of gameplay systems, mechanics, narrative design, and player psychology, with the ability to balance difficulty and pacing.
- Experience with scripting and advanced tools to create dynamic, interactive environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with art, programming, sound, and narrative teams; strong communication and receptiveness to feedback.
- Solid time‑management skills, ability to work with deadlines, and iterate based on testing and feedback.
- Experience designing levels across multiple genres and building immersive environments through environmental storytelling.
- Knowledge of Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, or proprietary engines; strong scripting/programming skills for events, triggers, and AI behaviors.
- Ability to motivate and support the team, mentor junior designers, and provide constructive feedback.
- Proactive problem-solving and flexibility in handling various design challenges (combat, narrative, puzzles).
- Strong conflict-resolution skills and the ability to maintain a positive, productive team environment;
- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
