Building solutions for a better life. The Bosch Building Technologies division is a leading international provider of systems, solutions and services that increase the safety of people, buildings and property and also contribute to greater comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability.
Bosch Building Technologies is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems and communication systems as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner.
- International and interdisciplinary cooperation: As Level 3 Technical Support Specialist – Video Management Systems (w/m/div.), you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.
- Problem Solving: Provide expert Level 3 support for Video Management software, handling escalated issues and solving complex software challenges efficiently.
This included Bosch VMS, BOSCH Video Streaming Gateway, Bosch Configuration Client as well all licensing aspects and troubleshooting license transfers, splits and service maintenance agreement aspects. - Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Software Development, and VMS Testing to enhance product stability and user satisfaction.
- Live internationality and Global Impact: Exchange with various development teams in the world like IP camera firmware development in Germany, moving camera development in North America and various software development sites like Portugal, Germany and other EMEA sites.
Share knowledge and insights internationally, documenting solutions and transferring information to Level 2 teams across the globe. - Innovation: Set up virtualized environments and high-availability solutions to test and troubleshoot client scenarios, contributing to continuous product improvement.
- Network Expertise: Use tools like Wireshark to troubleshoot IP networking issues in
real-world VMS setups.
Qualifications
- Education: Successfully completed training, such as certification as a state-certified technician with a focus on data processing and IT, or a degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable field of study. Alternatively, completed training in IT specialization, such as system integration or network technology.
- Experience and Know-How: at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in software support or IT infrastructure, ideally focused on network and server technologies as well as video management systems.
You are characterized by a high degree of willingness to learn, the ability to work in an international team, and strong communication skills. In English-language exchanges, you can explain complex technical issues in a comprehensible manner.
