SMX is seeking an experienced Lenel OnGuard Systems Administrator SME to join our team in Key West, FL. This individual will be responsible for the ensure successful implementation and maintenance of Lenel and OnGuard software and hardware systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of these systems, as well as relevant industry certifications and licenses. This individual will work closely on-site with our government client to ensure seamless integration, optimization, and ongoing support of their software and hardware security needs.
This position requires a DoD secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring Lenel access control panels, readers, and other ESS hardware component
- Programming and deploying access control software, such as OnGuard and ensuring all licensing is valid and up to date
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections of Lenel systems to ensure they are functioning properly; upgrading Lenel systems to the latest software and firmware versions; and troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with Lenel systems, including providing emergency response during critical mission failure
- Coordinating with other security professionals, such as system integrators and consultants, to ensure a comprehensive security solution Integrating Lenel systems with other security systems, such as video surveillance, intrusion detection, and key management systems
- Providing training and support to end-users on how to use Lenel systems Assist with account management and operations
- Documenting system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
- Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations
- Maintain a current understanding of applicable Lenel training and remain informed about new training modules, updates, or changes by regularly checking Lenel's official training resources and attending relevant training sessions or webinars
Required Skills & Experience
- Required Clearance: Secret
- Ability to work onsite in Key West, FL
- Professional level certification with Lenel Systems and completion of recent relevant trainings
- Thorough working knowledge of physical security processes, including expertise with the OnGuard Lenel system and Lenel Badging Systems technical support services.
- Understanding of security clearance processes and procedures for approving, issuing, inventory, controlling security badges to ensure DoD security standards IAW AR 190-56
- Experience with cybersecurity requirements to protect DoD data, information systems and networks from threats, vulnerabilities and related risks
- Knowledge of access management procedures for assigned Lenel platforms, databases and applications
- Ability to implement new or enhanced security-related technologies, products, and toolsets
- Familiarity with Information Security audit activities, both internal and external
