About the Role

To act as a subject matter expert (SME) and editorial expertise co-ordinator across multiple legislative projects, ensuring high-quality, AI-ready content that meets product and customer needs. This role will lead agile ceremonies, harmonise editorial and technology requirements, and define a content strategy for the specialist region. AI fluency is essential, as the role will champion the integration of advanced technologies into editorial workflows while collaborating closely with project managers and business analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for legislation for the APAC region, while maintaining a strong understanding of legislative approaches in other key jurisdictions.
  • Define and implement a content strategy for each APAC country we currently support, aligned with global priorities and customer needs.
  • Identify and make recommendations as to potential future legislation content opportunities within the APAC region.
  • Coordinate editorial expertise across multiple projects, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with global standards.
  • Implement and lead agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) and embed agile methodologies to optimise delivery.
  • Champion AI-first editorial practices, leveraging AI tools for summarisation, classification, enrichment, and quality improvement of legislative content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Editorial, Technology, Product, Commercial) and work alongside project managers and business analysts to balance editorial integrity with technology-driven efficiencies.
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional project teams, fostering accountability, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and prioritise editorial backlogs, translating legislative and editorial requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications.
  • Provide editorial input into reporting and progress tracking, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Troubleshoot complex content challenges and provide expert guidance to improve customer outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • LLB Hons (or equivalent) for at least one legal jurisdiction within APAC.
  • Practice experience in legislative or regulatory work (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal research, editorial roles, or legislative content management.
  • Proven ability to lead agile ceremonies and apply agile methodologies in a content or technology environment.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency, including practical experience with AI tools, LLMs, and automation in editorial workflows.
  • Strong understanding of legislative frameworks and processes in the specialist jurisdiction, with working knowledge of other major jurisdictions.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate complex legislative concepts into clear requirements.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills for managing cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise with emerging AI technologies, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Flexible and resilient, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to evolving strategies or technologies.
  • Project management certification (e.g., Agile, Scrum) desirable.
