Legal Counsel, Contracts at Precision Medicine Group (Remote)
Position Summary:
The Legal Counsel is responsible for facilitating all aspects of contracting for the Precision for Medicine's specialty lab services. This position will report to the Divisional Corporate Counsel & Director of Global Contracts and will serve as the escalation and approval point for two Contract Managers on contractual matters.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements for Precision's specialty lab, biospecimen, and analytics businesses, including master services agreements, consulting/vendor services agreements, statements of work, confidentiality agreements, license agreements, and amendments, among others
- Providing accurate and timely counsel to the different internal business units and executives
- Researching and evaluating risk factors associated with business decisions and operations, and advising on possible legal issues
- Communicating with external and internal parties creating relationships of trust
- Keeping business stakeholders properly and timely informed of the progress and status of the contracts
- Keeping track of the contracting processes in the contract management and repository systems, and facilitating the signature process and uploading contracts
- Maintaining current knowledge of changes in business law, contracts legislation and other regulations
- Conducting your work with the highest degree of integrity, responsibility, and excellence in client service
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent from accredited law school
- Licensed attorney in U.S.
- Minimum of 5(3) years of experience with contract drafting, review and negotiation
Preferred:
- Contracting experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, with specialty laboratory services, biospecimens, and analytics a plus
- Utilization of contract management system and maintenance of contracts metrics

- Proficiency in MS Office and other business applications
- Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language
