Who You Are
We’re looking for a talented, collaborative, business-minded Legal Administrator to join our tight knit Legal team. Reporting to the Corporate Counsel, you will work closely with our attorneys to provide proactive administrative and operational support across the business in a broad range of corporate and regulatory matters.
You understand the importance of collaborating with other teams and are able to act quickly as the decision-maker when required. You have a passion for our mission of helping people to build credit and save money.
What You Will Do
- Provide exceptional administrative support for the General Counsel and legal team, including document management, filing, correspondence, scheduling, travel arrangements and expenses
- Support legal team initiatives, including addressing diverse and complex legal issues that require excellent judgment, flexibility, and critical thinking with a practical and business-friendly approach
- Perform contract administration and template management and assist with process improvement initiatives for scalability
- Support General Counsel on corporate governance matters including Board of Directors meetings and minutes, maintenance of stock ledger and stock plan administration
What you Bring
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal. In-house experience and fintech, financial services, technology industry or regulatory experience a plus
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Experience with document management systems a plus
- Superior organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with other parts of the business, including senior business management and other attorneys
- Ability to make decisions collaboratively based on thoughtful analysis
- Excellent communication/writing skills
- Open minded, sense of humor and willingness to learn
- Experience working in a startup environment a plus.
