Job Description
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Legal Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where you’ll be helping us ensure in-house and external legal support for our projects in Baltics, Poland and new markets. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Ensuring legal services to onshore projects (wind, solar, BESS) in Latvia (securing land, EIA, design, supply of equipment, construction, O&M, etc.)
- Assistance in Ignitis Group projects: M&A, asset rotation, project finance
- Corporate housekeeping (10+ SPVs in Latvia, boards meetings, shareholders meetings, etc.).
- Managing internal and external legal teams
- Monitoring regulatory environment and advising business team on implications thereof
- Negotiating the agreements
- Ensuring business compliance and mitigation of legal risks
- Liaison with regulators, management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in law
- 7 years of legal experience in energy, construction, real estate or related legal fields, with onshore renewable energy experience being a strong advantage
- Team management experience
- Experience of working in an international team
- Contract drafting and negotiations, skills on evaluating options and finding solutions
- Proficiency in both Latvian and English (oral and written), essential for regular communication with international colleagues and partners
- Strong interpersonal skills and focus on assisting internal client, i.e., business team
- Ability to independently prioritize tasks.
